Who would launch a website on Veteran's Day for Pete's sake? A veteran: one whose work habits sometimes leave him totally oblivious to weekends and national holidays!
Today is the official launch of DME Resources, the new home for my Independent Consulting business and the evolution of Media-Geek.com. Lots of content coming over the next few weeks, but the core functionality is finally out of BETA!
Media-Geek members will no doubt notice some features and content have been removed, particularly the Facebook-like features that were infrequently used and our member downloads. What!? Easy turbo, they haven't gone anywhere.
Although I have removed the forums and file sharing features from Media-Geek, the member downloads and Wiki will remain available for at least a few more weeks. Of course, no new applications for Media-Geek will be processed though, as the site will be completely shut down soon.
I hope you'll take a few minutes to browse my new site and check out some of the new features, and be sure to check back soon as new content will be added daily throughout the coming weeks and months.
I'd like to thank everyone for their continued participation, patience, and support during this transition. It has been a stressful endeavor for me, but I am so excited to continue collaborating with you to move our industries and disciplines forward.
Happy Veteran's Day!
Thank you to all who have served in the armed forces for our great country. I stand just as proudly with you today as I did when I was wearing the uniform. Your sacrifices will never be forgotten.
Sincerely,
Larry A. Compton
