"Works with: Windows and Linux, WinFF version 1.5.4 64bit (though it should work with 32bit as well)
Converts to Uncompressed AVI and MOV (Stereo, Mono, No Audio). Converts to Uncompressed AVI and MOV with only I-Frames of input file (No Audio). Converts to WMV and MP4 (H.264) for presentation.
Frame rates, as well as audio sample rates should be retained from the original file."

"Forevid is the world's first open-source software for the forensic analysis of surveillance videos." - The project has not been updated since 2013, but several of its features remain very handy for DME examiners today.

"This is a re-packaged version of WinFF Portable (1.5.3) that contains only the FVA presets. Converts to uncompressed AVI and MOV, as well as compressed WMV and H.264. Will convert to uncompressed WAV, and also extract just I-Frames from MPEG videos."
