ffdshow - FFmpeg DirectShow filter rev3631 (11-15-2010)

ffdshow - FFmpeg DirectShow filter rev3631 (11-15-2010)

ffdshow was the first project/package that provided the ability to leverage the FFmpeg & Libav filters via DirectShow. The project languished and was reinvigorated as ffdshow tryouts.

This version is from 2010, when they were still distributing ffdshow with all of the encoders.

FYI - There are newer projects that provide this capability, such as LAV Filters.

Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC) project has been revived, thankfully.  My personal Go-To video player as it uses the Libav libraries AND DirectShow.  Use the 32-bit (x86) version if you'd like to leverage proprietary codecs/DirectShow filters in MPC-HC.

VirtualDub v1.10.4 with Select Input Plugins - provided by DME Resources

VirtualDub is a video processing utility created by Avery Lee and licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). This package includes select input plugins, and the included READ ME lists and references each plugin's version and source. Download link is to file hosted in Dropbox.

(NOTE: FFmpeg input plugin is not installed in this version as it causes VirtualDub to crash. Tested on Windows 8.1 and XP. Source is provided for further testing. Newer versions of all included plugins exist, so see the readme file for details.)

"Forevid is the world's first open-source software for the forensic analysis of surveillance videos." - The project has not been updated since 2013, but several of its features remain very handy for DME examiners today.
