Maybe I'm showing my age here, but I remember way back when Norton products were actually a good thing for your PC. Okay, I suppose that's a little too harsh, but the fact of the matter is that Symantec has gotten awful fat over the last couple of decades. By fat I mean that their flagship products (Antivirus & Internet Security) have become more of a resource drain than they are of assistance to a small business or home user.
In the corporate world these products still dominate, and don't seem to be as useless as I feel they've become for the small office or home network. As a matter of fact, Symantec claims to have 99% of the Fortune 1000 companies as customers. Pretty impressive, huh? Remind you of anyone??? You see where I'm going here.

I've added two links to manage your comments and comment subscriptions, one to the main member menu and one to the quick menu (right-hand side of the page). This is also where members will manage their favorites. For each article, file, or program added to the site member's will notice the "Set as Favorite" link located at the bottom of the post; simply click the link to add that item to your favorites list. I recently posted another brief tutorial for Media-Geek.com members which gives a quick overview of the various options and settings related to sharing your profile and content with non-members. Topics briefly discussed in this tutorial include your profile URL, availability settings for your profile and storage space, as well as the new profile "badge" and invitation features.

Do you use a YubiKey or the Google Authenticator app? The latter is free, and now you can use either of them to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) here at DME Resources.
Simply log-in and choose "Edit Profile" from the Control Panel, then select your preferred method from the drop-down options for "Authentication Method".
Follow the prompts that will be shown to configure, then press the "Update" button displayed at the bottom of the page.

Let’s talk a little more about aspect ratio. Always a lively topic everywhere I go, and regularly misunderstood by industry leading CCTV equipment manufacturers, engineers, and other video professionals. Should we correct, when do we correct, how do we correct, and of course the why. I’ve done a few short posts on the topic in the past (here's one), but this will be in a little more detail. This weekend I launched a new, secure DCCTV Database for our Professional Community members. The DME Resources Wiki was discontinued, and all content from the Wiki was migrated to the new database.
Literally tens of thousands of people visited our Wiki since I made it a public resource, and over 7 thousand of them registered with the Wiki. Unfortunately, despite the impressive numbers, only our Professional Community members were contributing.
This new members-only resource will streamline security, administration, and I truly feel provide a better user experience for our nearly 2,000 verified Professional Community members.
